Ahoy mates!! It’s me, Shan Ehan. I am a year old now, do you know? About 2 weeks ago, Mummy and Daddy had a Pirate bash for me at Aloha Loyang pool terrace. No, I don’t understand a thing about the party, but I do remember how much fun it was to turn a year old and to celebrate it with so many special people. So thank you friends, aunties, uncles, neneks and atuks for coming to my party. The pictures taken by uncle Sharizan will be memories to last a lifetime. Thank you uncle Sharizan, that is a great great gift! You can check out all of his work at www.pinholefoto.com :)
Aunty Nani from minicupcakes gave me a whole buffet spread of yummy goodies! Look at this!!

I might be a baby but I do know good stuff when I see them. Aunty Nani, truly love what you have done with the candy buffet corner. Thank you so much! You should see all of aunty nani’s work, they are superb! Email her at minicupcakes@gmail.com friends!
Food! I missed out on eating the scrumptious food mummy catered from aunty Lynn from Lab Bridal because i aint got enough teeth to chew ya’ll. Got a lot of praises for them, good job Aunty Lynn! This will not be the last time, for sure. Other than food, Aunty Lynn also did the pirate decor for me. It is very well done, don’t you think? I especially love the backdrop behind the cake cutting table. Everything was done in great detail. Uncle Ashik and clan, kudos to all of you! If you wish to contact Aunty Lynn, you can do so at 96850165.
My birthday cake was a pirate ship done by Aunty Ayu from Simply cupcakes. She is one super Aunty who can make any cakes at all! Email her at simplycupcakes@gmail.com should you want to order any cakes. You won’t regret it. :)

Can you spot a tiny shark? hehe. Aunty Ayu, you are awesomeeeeee!
Ok back to the party now. The crowd only started coming in at 4 plus and at 5pm the entertainer started playing games. I saw Kakak Sharleez having fun with the rest of the kids there, but all I could do was watch. Argh! YOU WAIT AH. Give me 1 more year.

Mummy and Daddy invited a lot of their friends for my party and many of them gave me great gifts. (Mummy nagged everyday though because we don’t have any space in the house to keep the presents. Hee)

My Mummy and Daddy dressed up as Pirates too.
Look at Papa Yat’s ‘eye patch’! Hehe
OOOPS! Caught on camera!
Abang Amirin, why are you covering Kakak Alya’s face with your ‘sword’? You aaaah…..
I am quite disappointed that we didn’t get to take pictures with quite a lot of our guests because everyone came at the same time and there was too much going on. :(
To choose the Best Dressed winner, we had 4 judges; Uncle Hafidz, Uncle Shahir, Uncle Cassim and Uncle Ali. It must have been tough because so many of my friends came as pirates, it was so hard to choose who was the best.
Best Dressed BABY.
The nominees for Best Dressed Boy.
Nusair, whose name was mistaken for Mikhail. hehe Sorry Abg Nusair. Do you like the consolation prize?
Abang Aniq won consolation too. (Did you stain your t-shirt on purpose Abg? Vair cool)
Abg Niaz, the handsome pirate who kept smiling to everyone, won 3rd.
The shy pirate, Abang Naufal won 2nd place!
And the winner for Best dressed boy goes to

Kakak Sharafynna! She really look like a real pirate!
Congratulations to all the winners!
Anyway, Uncle Fauzie is a very good entertainer! He made everyone laugh, especially during the lucky draw segment. I was too tired to participate, so I took a little time off in the air-conditioned room. Hee.
Congratulations to all 10 lucky draw winners! :D
Right after we ended the lucky draw, all our guests were ready to leave, so Mummy and Daddy didn’t get to cut the cake for everyone to eat! Tsk Tsk Tsk. Sorry hokay?
Ok…. now it’s time for me to say my thanks to people who made turning 1 year old memorable.
Dada and Nana for EVERYTHING. You both are the reason why I think family is so important and nothing else matters as much. You both have taught everyone in the family about being there for one another in good and bad times and lending support towards each other in every way. I love you both so much! Mama Diah, thank you for helping Mummy with all the birthday ideas and for reminding her about what to do when my bash was getting nearer (trust me, she wouldn’t have remembered A LOT of things. Sheeesh…). And the nadyas for coming over and ‘helping’ mummy with all the present wrapping (and for always entertaining me with your silly antics!) OH! and Mama Diah, thank you for cleaning up after the party too. Papa Yat, my best friend! Thank you for lending Daddy your help with all the party arrangements! You got to work the minute you arrived at the location, you are 1 super uncle! Papa Piq for still putting in the effort to dress up even though you can only be at the party for a short while before booking in to camp. Mama E, thank you for coming as a pirate and for taking awesome pictures! Hehe. Nenek mardiana, thank you too for helping with the cleaning up after the party. (I saw you picking up the plates from all over the chalet!) hehe.
To all aunties and uncles who came for the party, mummy and daddy are still talking about it (get over it already, you 2!) and can’t thank you all enough for taking the time to be there. Mummy said she had lots of fun planning the party and she wouldn’t mind planning for me every year, but daddy called her crazy. So I guess this won’t be a yearly thing. It’s ok, with or without a party, with my family, turning a year older every year will be just as memorable.
Happy 1st birthday to me. All I wish for is to be healthy and happy. Thank you mummy and daddy for this party and thank you Allah for blessing me with everything. Amin. I hope you enjoy reading about my birthday party. :)
